Cinderella’s world in particular was perfect, down to the little details of her manor ! My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE part of this playthrough HAD to be the environments!!įor what was from the movies, they were wonderfully done considering the limited graphics. When I was apart of its target audience, I LOVED the story & its characters, and my little sister adores it too, which I suppose means it does its job!

It’s not very “deep” when it comes to lessons or lore, but it does have a wonderful sense of magic to it, and you truly feel as though you’ve gone through an “enchanted journey” by the end of it ! Instead, she seems like a generic “Princess” stereotype, which is sad because during the WHOLE game we must see Belle, locked behind a set of golden gates, wondering how we might unlock her & what she’ll be like. They capture all of the Princesses’ spirits well, aside from Belle, who seems to have lost her fun, witty, & daring personality.

This game is the main source of why I came to appreciate more classic princesses such as Cinderella and Snow White. The stories feel more lively & engaging when you have everyone there ! You can really notice the impact of companions when you compare Agrabah, where you only have Jasmine & Abu, to the other realms, where most (if not all) companions are present. If you’re someone who loves magic, and all things “Disney Princess”, then I believe you’ll find this game pretty enjoyable!īeing able to meet not only the Princess, but many of her sidekicks as well, really adds to the story in many cases. There, you can rid of all the bogs in her world by playing tag with them in the ever-so stunning Grand Ballroom! You can really only help out 4, though- Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, and Snow White! You are guided by a small pixie to the abandoned Kingdom of Gentlehaven, which, inside the castle’s basement, has portals to 5 different Disney Princesses’ worlds- and they need your help ! In it, you play as a little girl who has no memories outside of your name & appearance (which you, the player, get to decide).

So long as you had a Wii, PlayStation 2, or a Windows computer, you could enter the worlds of our very-beloved Disney Princesses ! Use the tag at the end so I can find it ! ♡ĭisney Princess: Enchanted Journey debuted in Fall 2007 as the first game in the Disney Princess franchise.

Playing this game again made me so nostalgic, yet I also realized that this game is often left forgotten, like a lot of the Disney games of that era.Īs a means of honoring this game, I felt like it was appropriate to write a blog about it.įorgotten games, then please, feel free to

I recently replayed this old childhood favorite as I helped guide my younger sister through her first playthrough (and her first Wii game !) Today, I’m going to be doing something I’ve never done before.
